SAFETY COORDINATOR

Job Description

Ensure compliance of operations with Workplace Safety and Health/Environmental Control regulations and statutory requirements

Follow up on the committee site walk inspection findings for the WSH Officer to close out the report and assist the WSH Officer with incident/accident investigations.

Responsible for ensuring that daily checklists are properly documented and for carrying out a mass toolbox meeting once a week.

Coordination with the relevant site in charge to improve worksite safety and cleanliness.

Ensure supervisors and workers are following safe work procedures compliance.

Assist WSHO to organize monthly Safety Committee meetings and put up safety reports, including safety issues

Compiles all relevant reports and records and carries out daily safety inspections

Supervise all workers in providing safety measures and procedures in accordance with MOM Regulations

Any other ad hoc duties assigned by the superior from time to time

Possess a Certificate in Safety Coordinators Course from approved institutes

Min. 2 years relevant experience in Building and Construction Industry

Proactive with excellent interpersonal skills and analytical ability

Ability to work under pressures in a fast pace environment
