Sales Engineer

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
  • Grow market share for Emerson FLMC Motion Control solutions by developing and strengthening relationships with existing direct key accounts.
  • Identify, acquire, and develop new key accounts within the assigned territory, with a strong focus on OEMs and System Integrators.
  • Analyze customer strategic objectives and applications to provide technical consultation, identify opportunities, and propose effective, customer‑specific solutions.
  • Deliver regular product and solution presentations to existing and prospective customers to support new business development.
  • Travel to customer sites to present proposals, provide technical support, and resolve application‑related challenges.
  • Conduct product and application training sessions for key accounts to enhance customer capability and engagement.
  • Maintain a high level of technical and product knowledge in motion control applications, including pneumatic systems and electric motion control.
  • Gather and share market intelligence related to customer needs, technology trends, and competitive activities.
  • Represent Emerson in a professional, ethical, and customer‑focused manner at all times.
  • Prepare accurate sales reports, visit reports, and business forecasts in a timely manner.
  • Plan and execute quality customer visits independently to build a healthy and sustainable opportunity pipeline.

For This Role, You Will Need:
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (such as Electronics, Mechatronics, or a related discipline).
  • Solid experience in sales engineering, application engineering, or solution selling within motion control or industrial automation.
  • Fundamental understanding of pneumatic systems, electric motion control, and integrated automation solutions.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with customers at different levels.
  • Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and perform well in a fast‑paced environment.
  • A proactive, trustworthy, and self‑motivated approach to work.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • Willingness and ability to travel within the assigned territory; possession of a valid driving license and own vehicle.

Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart:

  • Experience working directly with OEMs and System Integrators in industrial or manufacturing environments.

  • Proven success in developing key accounts and growing market share in a competitive market.

  • Exposure to integrated automation or multi‑technology solution selling.

  • Familiarity with market analysis, forecasting, and opportunity pipeline management.
