Sales Manager, ASEAN

Position Overview

Avery Dennison is seeking a Sales Manager to join the Yongle Tape organization. In this role, the successful candidate will deliver profitable, double-digit revenue growth in ASEAN. This person is responsible for developing customer account plans, cultivating customer relationships, new opportunity identification, and coordination of customer-facing company resources to commercialize new innovative products. This person will also lead ASEAN’s creation and implementation of strategy and business development efforts.

Critical Objectives & Outcomes

  • Deliver profitable, double-digit revenue growth in ASEAN.

  • Develop the right growth strategy and distribution channels in the market.

  • Build up and maintain customer relationships and all related account activities.

  • Uncover and assess customer needs and develop a plan to execute mutual value creation.

  • Provide product recommendations, samples, technical support, pricing and service information on demand.

  • Provide product quotes and actively utilize value-selling tools and skills. Establish pricing programs and strategies that grow volume and improve profitability.

  • Collaborate and develop strong relationships with Customer Service, Technical Service, Product Management, Operations and other Sales Team members to deliver superior service and products to customers.

  • Work with Product Management to plan and implement product line programs including new product launches/commercialization and customer support.

  • Collaborate with other business units to evaluate volume, identify trends, ensure quality, and monitor budgets.

  • Proven self-starter eager to uncover and close business growth opportunities.

  • Can communicate in Japanese, Thai and English.

  • 6+ year’s applicable experience with at least 3 years assigned to national or strategic accounts preferred.

  • Competencies interacting throughout the value chain, especially with industrial Tier 1 suppliers and OEMs.

  • Knowledgeable in pressure sensitive adhesives, coating and processing technologies preferred.

  • Proven negotiation skills/experience and demonstrated track record of sales growth and success.

  • Excellent financial skills and business acumen.

  • Skilled in communicating effectively with all levels of management on complex business issues.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and communications.

  • Understanding of applicable computer systems, such as Microsoft Office, Google Apps and other function specific software.
