Sales Support Engineer

Job Description


1. Requirement Analysis for Quotation

· Review customer RFQs (Request for Quotation) or tender documents

· Understand technical specifications, scope, and constraints

· Clarify missing details with sales team or client before pricing

2. Solution-Based Costing

· Translate technical solutions into billable components

· Identify required products, parts, licenses, and services

· Ensure compatibility and completeness of the solution

3. Pricing & Cost Calculation

· Calculate:

o Product costs (from suppliers/vendors)

o Internal costs (engineering, labor, logistics)

· Apply margins, discounts, and pricing strategies

· Ensure alignment with company pricing policies

4. Quotation & Proposal Preparation

· Prepare formal quotations including:

o Pricing breakdown

o Technical specifications

o Scope of work

o Terms & conditions

· Ensure clarity, accuracy, and professional presentation

5. Compliance & Risk Check

· Ensure quotation meets customer specs and tender requirements

· Identify risks (e.g., unclear scope, unrealistic timelines)

· Flag exclusions and assumptions clearly

6. Quotation Follow-Up

· Track submitted quotations and monitor their status

· Check in with the sales team or client on progress

· Confirm receipt and understanding of the proposal

· Identify if the customer needs clarification or revisions

7. Customer Clarifications & Technical Support

· Respond to technical questions after proposal submission

· Provide additional documents, datasheets, or drawings

· Explain specifications, configurations, or assumptions

· Support deeper discussions if customer evaluation teams are involved

Requirements

· Min. 1 year experience in sales technical related job.

· Fresh graduates with good working attitudes are welcome as well.

· Proven experience in sales or customer service positions.

· Proficiency in SAP, CRM software and MS Office, with an emphasis on Excel.

· Ability to analyze customer needs and present solutions effectively.

· Bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing management, or a related field

· Able to multi-task with positive attitude

· Team player with high level of dedication, independent, strong analytical skills and able to work with minimum supervision

· Strong Excel skills

· Right Attitude, willing to learn, proactive

· Strong verbal and written communication skills with a customer service orientation

· Excellent organizational and time-management skills.

· Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
