Job Title: Chalet Duty Manager


JOB DESCRIPTION

We are looking for a Chalet Duty Manager to oversee daily chalet operations and ensure an exceptional guest experience in a resort environment.

This is a hands-on management role responsible for team leadership, guest services, reservations, and facility standards, with a strong focus on service quality and operational excellence.


JOB OVERVIEW/RESPONSIBILITIES

Operations & Team Leadership

  • Lead, train, and manage chalet hosts and operational staff
  • Create and manage staff schedules to ensure smooth daily operations
  • Take a hands-on approach to leading day-to-day chalet activities

Guest Experience & Service Management

  • Handle guest inquiries, requests, and issue resolution professionally
  • Ensure high service standards and personalized guest experiences
  • Coordinate special arrangements to enhance guest satisfaction

Reservations & Stay Coordination

  • Oversee bookings, check-ins, check-outs, and guest logistics
  • Manage daily schedules and operational coordination

Quality Control & Facilities

  • Conduct regular inspections of rooms, common areas, and dining spaces
  • Maintain and improve service and facility standards
  • Coordinate routine maintenance and repairs

Safety & Local Knowledge

  • Ensure guest safety and a secure, comfortable environment
  • Stay informed on ski conditions and local attractions to support guests


Training and support will be provided to help you succeed in the role.


REQUIREMENTS

【Must】

  • Experience
    • Previous experience in a team leader or supervisory role
    • Previous work experience in hospitality, tourism, or customer service (e.g. hotel, resort, chalet, or front office roles)
    • Experience handling guest inquiries and customer support
  • Education and Qualification
    • Valid working visa in Japan
    • Valid Driver’s License (Japanese, international, or foreign driver’s license with an official Japanese Translation)
  • Skills
    • Strong communication skills
    • Proven problem-solving and decision-making abilities
    • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Language Skills
    • Business Level or above in English
  • Competencies
    • Strong guest-focused mindset with a passion for service excellence
    • Ability to think quickly and resolve issues on the spot
    • Team-oriented with a collaborative working style
    • Friendly, polite, and professional attitude toward guests and colleagues

  • Experience
    • Experience working in a resort or seasonal operation
  • Education and Qualification
    • Education or training in hospitality, tourism, or service-related fields
  • Skills
    • Staff training or people-management skills
    • Experience with reservations or operational coordination
  • Language Skills
    • Conversational or above in Japanese
  • Competencies
    • Interest in winter sports, resort life, or outdoor activities


Employment Terms and Condition

Contract Period & Renewal

  • Contract Period: 11/3/2026 - 3/31/2027
  • Contract renewal: Applicable
  • Reason of Renewal:
    • Employee’s work performance and attitude.
    • Company’s business demands.

Duty, Work Location & Scope of Changes

  • Duty: may be changed as determined by the company
  • Initial Work Location: one of the company’s properties in Niseko Area, Hokkaido
  • Scope of changes: company properties in Niseko Area, Rusutsu or Furano.
    • Training may be conducted at other location.
    • Employees may be required to work at different properties based on operational needs.
    • The initial assignment will be determined by the company.

Commuting & Workplace policy

  • Private Vehicle Commuting: Not permitted
  • Measures to prevent passive smoking: indoor smoking prohibited

Working hours, Days off & Overtime

  • Working hours / Shift schedule: Up to 8 hours between 06:00 to 22:00
  • Days off: two days off per week (based on shift schedule)
  • Overtime: Yes
  • Monthly Average Overtime Hours: 10 hours per month
  • 36-Article Agreement (overtime): Applicable (Due to seasonal factors and a high concentration of orders from general customers, periods of increased workload are expected)


Salary Package / Benefit

  • Salary: 2,000 yen / per hour ~
  • Subsidized Ski Pass on your location or Recreational Allowance
