The primary purpose of this position: To serve as the Chief, Canada and Atlantic Approaches Security Cooperation Branch in the North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) and the United States Northern Command (USNORTHCOM), Strategy, Policy, and Plans Directorate (J5), Security Cooperation Division (J59). Plans, organizes, and directs the activities of Canada and Atlantic Approaches Security Cooperation Branch, ensuring that Command security cooperation and partnership activities with Canada and The Bahamas complies with legal and regulatory requirements and meets National and Command objectives. Provides vision, direction, oversight and perspectives on strategic planning and leadership initiatives that shape future Canadian, Caribbean, and Atlantic Security Cooperation engagements. Represents the Canada and Atlantic Security Cooperation Branch with a variety of national and international government and functional area organizations at international and national meetings, conferences, symposia, and site visits. Provides technical and administrative supervision to the limited number of staff in the Canada and Atlantic Security Cooperation Branch.
