Senior Accountant

You will manage core accounting operations, including financial reporting, the month-end close, and consolidated statement preparation. You will research and apply technical accounting standards, develop accounting policies, support audits, maintain and improve internal controls, streamline accounting processes and systems, and lead and mentor accounting staff. You will collaborate with FP&A, Treasury, Tax, Legal, and Operations to provide financial insights that support strategic initiatives and product launches.

Responsibilities

• Lead the month-end quarter-end and year-end close processes
• Prepare and review consolidated financial statements in accordance with US GAAP or IFRS
• Ensure accuracy completeness and timeliness of financial reporting
• Oversee general ledger activity journal entries and account reconciliations
• Research and interpret accounting standards and apply them to complex transactions
• Develop accounting policies and ensure consistent application
• Partner with external auditors on technical accounting matters and audit deliverables
• Maintain and enhance internal controls over financial reporting
• Ensure compliance with applicable regulatory and reporting requirements
• Support internal and external audit processes
• Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes and improve efficiencies
• Partner with Finance Systems and cross-functional teams to enhance ERP and reporting tools
• Implement scalable accounting procedures to support business growth
• Manage mentor and develop accounting staff and establish performance goals
• Provide financial insights to support strategic initiatives and new product launches

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting Finance or related field
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience including supervisory experience
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP or IFRS
• Experience managing the month-end close and financial reporting processes
• Proficiency in ERP systems (NetSuite SAP Oracle) and advanced Excel skills
• CPA or equivalent professional certification (preferred)
• Experience in fintech crypto or financial services industries (preferred)
• Experience with multinational entities and multi-currency accounting (preferred)
• Internal controls and audit management experience (preferred)
