Accounting Manager
You will own and execute the month-end close for a multi-entity organization, prepare journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting schedules, and support consolidation and investor reporting. You will perform technical accounting research (including ASC 606 and ASC 842), assist with tax and audit requests, and drive improvements in accounting systems and integrations. You will calculate the financial impact of blockchain transactions in the general ledger and partner with cross-functional teams to improve billing and customer balance workflows.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the month-end close process, prepare journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting schedules for accruals, prepaids, fixed assets, and reclasses
- Support financial reporting across multiple entities, including consolidation, monthly close packages, variance analysis, investor reporting, and audit preparation
- Assist with tax requests from external tax firm
- Drive improvements in accounting systems and integrations
- Conduct technical accounting research and document processes, including ASC 606 revenue recognition and ASC 842 lease accounting
- Support strategic projects such as post-merger balance sheet work, multi-entity consolidations, and ERP readiness
- Partner cross-functionally to improve billing operations and customer balance workflows
- Calculate the financial impact of blockchain transactions within the general ledger
Requirements
- 8 years progressive accounting experience, including fast-paced SaaS or tech environments
- Strong understanding of US GAAP and experience managing general ledger and close processes
- Experience ensuring ASC 606 compliance across subscription, usage-based, credit, and refund models
- Knowledge of SaaS KPIs: MRR, ARR, CAC, LTV, NDR, Churn
- Strong ownership, clear communication, and proactive problem-solving attitude
- Proficiency with QuickBooks, Ramp, Deel, and Stripe
- Experience with multi-entity accounting, international operations, or tax compliance (preferred)
- 2 years public accounting experience; CPA preferred
- Blockchain experience (preferred)
- Experience in fast-paced startups or global remote environments (preferred)
