Senior Accounting Expert
Job Summary
The Senior Accounting Expert – SAM is responsible for managing end‑to‑end accounting activities across South Asia Markets to meet group, local, and statutory reporting requirements. This role plays a critical part in ensuring accurate financial reporting, strong compliance with accounting standards and internal controls, and driving process efficiency through collaboration and continuous improvement.
May act as a lead, providing subject matter guidance to team members.
What you will do
- Monitor and execute core accounting activities, including monthly book close, general ledger accounting, account reconciliations, and schedule preparation and analysis
- Complete internal group reporting accurately and within defined timelines
- Ensure compliance with internal control systems, accounting standards (IFRS / Ind AS), and group reporting guidelines
- Drive adherence to functional KPIs and performance metrics
- Prepare and ensure timely completion of statutory financial statements for all entities within the SAM market
- Coordinate effectively with cross‑functional stakeholders such as PtP, RtR, Tax, and other finance teams
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and effectiveness through process automation and continuous improvement initiatives
- Prepare reconciliations, monitor open items, and ensure timely resolution and clearance
We believe you have
- Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA)
- 2–3 years of relevant experience in accounting, financial reporting, and close processes
- Strong working knowledge of IFRS and / or Ind AS
- Hands‑on experience with SAP ERP
- Fluency in English, with strong communication skills
- High personal drive with the ability to take ownership and deliver results
- Strong analytical mindset and natural problem‑solving ability
- Solid digital skills; proficiency in advanced Excel is required, with Macros and Power BI considered a strong advantage
