Senior Application Engineer

Job Responsibilities

· Install, set up, and commission AWLT machines at customer sites

· Analyse customer requirements (accuracy, throughput, repeatability) and optimize system parameters

· Perform wafer alignment, laser scanning, and probing process tuning and troubleshooting

· Validate and improve machine performance (e.g., ~100 nm repeatability, vibration stability)

· Troubleshoot process issues such as alignment errors, stray light, vibration, and wafer flatness

· Provide customer training on operation, maintenance, and basic troubleshooting

· Prepare application reports, test results, and technical documentation

· Collaborate with cross-functional teams (R&D, design, service) to implement improvements

· Provide on-site and remote technical support

· Support new application development and process qualification

Requirements / Qualifications

· Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or a related field

· Experience in semiconductor equipment, wafer processing, or laser systems is preferred

· Knowledge of motion systems, vibration, optics, or precision alignment

· Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills

· Good communication skills for customer interaction

· Customer-facing technical role (on-site and remote support)

· Semiconductor / wafer-level / die-level testing process optimization

· Work involving precision engineering (motion control, vibration isolation, optical systems)

· Machine performance tuning (accuracy, repeatability, throughput)

· Root cause analysis and problem-solving

· Willingness to travel regionally or overseas / Regional travel may be required

· Experience with wafer probing or laser scanning systems

· Understanding of vibration isolation and nano-level positioning

· Data analysis skills (Excel, Python, or MATLAB)

· Experience working in a cleanroom environment is a PLUS
