Senior Backend Engineer, Liquidity

You will lead backend development for trading products, mentor and guide other developers, and drive complex technical designs. You will connect exchanges, trading agencies, custodians, and wallets to build a multi-functional trading platform. You will develop and optimize trading APIs for scalability and reliability, and research and implement cloud-native architectures to support growth.

Responsibilities

• Lead backend development of new fintech trading products
• Mentor and guide other developers in complex designs
• Collaborate with other teams and lead cross-functional features
• Integrate exchanges, trading agencies, custodians, and wallets to build a trading platform
• Develop and optimize trading APIs for scalability and seamless user experience
• Research and implement cloud-native architectures to improve scalability and reliability

Requirements

• At least 6 years of backend development experience
• Proficiency in Node.js and TypeScript
• Strong understanding of system design principles, distributed systems, and scalability
• Proven experience designing and deploying microservices-based architectures in production
• Experience with monitoring and logging frameworks such as Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana, and ELK
• Solid understanding of blockchain fundamentals including transaction lifecycles, confirmations, mempool mechanics, and finality across multiple chains
• Hands-on familiarity with DeFi protocols and primitives such as AMMs, liquidity pools, yield mechanisms, and on-chain order books
• Understanding of crypto liquidity concepts including market making, order routing, slippage, and price impact (nice to have)
