Senior Backend Engineer

You will design and implement backend systems and deployment tooling that secure IoT and critical infrastructure. You will define, develop, and maintain deployment processes across IT, OT, and Cloud environments, provide ongoing support to improve system health and reliability, adopt best practices for scalable distributed and autonomous systems, and lead and mentor others. You will work hands-on with networking protocols, authentication and certificate systems, cryptography and PKI, reverse proxies and NGINX, and develop/debug services on Linux and Docker.

• Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and adopt best practices for scalable, distributed, and autonomous systems
• Lead, direct, guide, and empower others to succeed

Requirements

• 3+ years software development with HTTP/s proxies, WebSocket, packet tracing, and multi-tier client/server communication
• In-depth knowledge of JavaScript execution in browser security contexts and authentication/authorization using JWT, SAML, and SSO
• Working knowledge of multithreading, inter-process communication, socket programming, and high-performance low-latency programming
• Knowledge of secure coding in C++, Go, or Java, vulnerability assessment, and threat analysis
• Hands-on experience with RDP, VNC, HTTP, and SSH protocols and concepts like authentication, certificates, and TLS
• Experience with cryptography, PKI, microservice architecture, large-scale infrastructure, reverse proxies (NGINX), SOCKS5, and session management with load balancers
• Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and quality focus
• Strong communication skills and system-level expertise on Linux (Ubuntu, Alpine, Red Hat) and Docker
• Experience developing NGINX plugins or working with NGINX internals is a plus
• Experience with the Guacamole framework is a plus
