Senior Backend Kotlin Developer

You will design, build, and maintain backend services and APIs that power payment gateways, settlement systems, mobile POS integrations, and financial service APIs. You will contribute to backend architecture, ensure reliability and scalability, debug and optimise production performance, collaborate with product, QA and frontend, and write clean, well-tested code.

• Write clean, efficient, and well-tested code
• Stay current with backend and cloud technologies

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in backend software development (Kotlin or Java)
• Strong understanding of microservices and cloud deployment (AWS/GCP)
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions)
• Proficiency in SQL and NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, Redis)
• Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes
• Experience with event-driven systems (Kafka)
• Solid understanding of APIs (REST, gRPC) and version control (GitHub)
• Familiarity with agile development processes
• Fluent in English (Mandarin or Cantonese a plus)
• Fintech, payment, or settlement background is a plus
