What We're Looking For
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Senior Chef de Partie to support the daily operations of our Pastry/Bakery kitchen. This role is responsible for maintaining high food quality standards, supporting menu development, overseeing kitchen operations, and guiding junior team members in a fast-paced environment.
Role& Responsibilities
- Lead the Pastry/Bakery kitchen team in the absence of the Head Chef or Sous Chef
- Guide and support junior kitchen team members in food preparation, line cooking, and plating standards
- Ensure proper FIFO and FEFO food rotation practices, with all products correctly labelled and stored
- Maintain well-stocked stations, especially during peak operating hours
- Assist in training new kitchen team members to meet restaurant and kitchen standards
- Manage food ordering, inventory records, and minimise wastage
- Work with existing systems to improve cost control and waste reduction
- Assist the Head Chef in Bakery & Pastry menu development and creation
- Ensure strict compliance with food safety, sanitation, and hygiene standards
- Follow all company policies, processes, and procedures
- Attend trainings and meetings as required
What You Bring
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in a similar role
- Strong leadership skills with a positive team-player attitude
- Good planning and organizing skills
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Competent with Microsoft Office
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment
