Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Senior HR & Industrial Relations Advisor to provide expert advice and support across a major infrastructure project. This role is integral to ensuring effective workforce management, industrial compliance, and positive employee and contractor relations throughout the project lifecycle.
You will work closely with project leadership, contractors, and workforce representatives to deliver practical, risk-based HR and IR solutions aligned with organisational and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide senior HR and IR advice to project leadership and managers
- Interpret and apply enterprise agreements, awards and industrial instruments
- Manage employee relations matters including grievances, conduct, and performance issues
- Support workforce planning, mobilisation and demobilisation activities
- Advise on industrial risk management and dispute resolution strategies
- Lead stakeholder engagement with unions, workforce representatives, and employees
- Ensure compliance with employment legislation, policies, and governance frameworks
Required Skills and Competencies
- Tertiary qualification in HR, Industrial Relations, Law, or related discipline
- Proven experience in a senior HR/IR advisory role, ideally in project or industrial environments
- Strong knowledge of employment legislation, industrial instruments, and ER frameworks
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex industrial and employee relations matters
- Excellent stakeholder management, influencing, and communication skills
Location and conditions
This is a regional role and includes the provision to be based at camp as required.
