SENIOR PROJECT ENGINEER (CIVIL & STRUCTURAL)
- Location: Woodland
- Working Hours: 5 days per week (Mon to Fri: 8:00 AM – 5:30 PM)
- Willingness to commit to extended hours and night shift when required
Job Description:
- Actively drive and push civil and structural construction progress to meet project milestones and overall schedule
- Plan, coordinate, and sequence daily and weekly site activities with subcontractors and supervisors
- Support the Project Manager in schedule planning, progress tracking, and recovery actions
- Monitor manpower, equipment, and material deployment to ensure productivity targets are met
- Identify construction bottlenecks, constraints, and delays, and implement corrective measures promptly
- Coordinate civil and structural works with MEP, process, and cleanroom trades to avoid clashes and downtime
- Ensure site execution follows approved drawings, method statements, and work sequences
- Conduct regular site inspections to ensure quality, safety, and housekeeping standards are maintained
- Lead daily site coordination meetings and progress discussions with subcontractors
- Track actual progress against baseline schedule and highlight risks and mitigation plans
- Support procurement follow-up to ensure timely delivery of materials and subcontractor works
- Ensure compliance with QA/QC procedures, inspection requirements, and documentation
- Support inspections, testing, commissioning, and handover of civil and structural works
- Ensure compliance with BCA, SCDF, and WSH requirements
- Guide and supervise junior engineers and site staff
- Any other duties as assigned
Requirement:
- Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or Architecture
- Minimum 5 years of relevant site-based experience in semiconductor, cleanroom, data center, or high-tech industrial projects
- Strong experience in site execution, progress control, and schedule driving
- Proven ability to manage multiple subcontractors and trades on active construction sites
- Good understanding of construction sequencing, productivity planning, and recovery strategies
- Familiar with Singapore construction regulations and site practices (BCA, SCDF, WSH)
- Strong leadership, coordination, and problem-solving skills
- Proficient in AutoCAD; BIM knowledge is an advantage
- Able to work in a fast-paced and demanding site environment
- Fluent in English and Mandarin to coordinate effectively with site teams and subcontractors
