Senior Project Manager

We are looking for a Senior Project Manager to join our team.

What you'll do:

  • Take full responsibility for the definition, planning, facilitation, and successful delivery of medium-scale ICT projects.

  • Lead and provide direction to cross-functional project teams in an international environment.

  • Define and apply appropriate project management methodologies, tools, and governance frameworks.

  • Manage project scope, schedule, budget, risks, issues, and change control processes.

  • Ensure project plans are realistic, up to date, and aligned with agreed tolerances.

  • Monitor project performance (cost, time, quality, and resources) and implement corrective actions when needed.

  • Ensure project deliverables are completed, quality-checked, and formally accepted by stakeholders.

  • Maintain clear, accurate, and regular communication with all stakeholders through reports and governance meetings.

  • Facilitate stakeholder engagement strategies and act as a key point of contact for project communications.

  • Support business decision-making by capturing and disseminating relevant technical and business information.

  • Oversee change management processes, evaluating impact and ensuring proper implementation of approved changes.

  • Support contract management activities, including performance monitoring and compliance tracking.

  • Apply continuous improvement practices and contribute to the adoption of new technologies and digital tools.

  • Share expertise and support the development of team members in project management best practices.

What you will need to bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline and 3+ years of project management experience
    OR at least 10 years of extensive and progressive experience in relevant roles.

  • Minimum 3 years of recent experience managing acquisition and/or development projects in large organizations.

  • Strong experience with project planning, cost management, and resource management tools.

  • Proven experience leading cross-functional and international teams.

  • Experience in project administration, including budgeting and financial tracking.

  • Recognised project management certification such as PRINCE2 or PMP (or equivalent experience).

  • Experience with project management and collaboration tools (e.g., ServiceNow).

  • Knowledge of NATO or governmental acquisition and procurement processes is an asset.

  • Experience working in international environments with both military and civilian stakeholders is an advantage.

  • Understanding of NATO structures (e.g., ACO, ACT) is considered a strong asset.

  • Strong communication, leadership, decision-making, and stakeholder management skills.

  • Strong command of English, both written and spoken.

  • Holds, or is eligible to obtain, a national security clearance as a citizen of a NATO member state.

  • Availability for full-time on-site work in Braine-l’Alleud, Belgium, with occasional travel (1–2 trips per month within Belgium and possible international travel).
