Summary of the Role

We are seeking a results-driven Sales Specialist based in Malaysia to support our strategic growth in the Blood and Cell Therapy Business Unit.

The candidate will:

  • Deliver sales results aligning with company’s goals and strategies.

  • Demonstrate deep market insight with strong business ownership.

  • Identify and pursue business opportunities.

  • Develop and maintain business pipeline to achieve business targets

  • Effectively communicate with all internal and external stakeholders.

  • Manage performance targets, with a strong focus on execution plans.

  • Build and maintain strong networks with internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

1. Planning and execution of local business and product marketing strategy to drive targeted business outcomes

  • Meet personal and team annual sales targets to achieve TBCT Monthly, Quarterly and Yearly Sales targets.

  • Work with internal stakeholders in implementing, and executing product marketing strategy to deliver TBCT local business goals, aligning with Regional BU strategy and directions.

  • Continuous prospecting new potential customers to ensure business growth and at the same time securing current customers.

  • Build up and expand key customers network and strengthen existing key customers.

  • Understand and attend to customer’s needs and complaints.

  • Continuous engagement with customers and develop plans and activities as key initiatives.

  • Provide market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments to refine sales strategies.

  • Maintain detailed records of all customer accounts and update these accounts as necessary

  • Tendering processes for government and private segment.

2. Technical & clinical education

  • Develop a deep understanding of the company’s products or services to effectively communicate their value to customers.

  • Support education programs with internal and external stakeholders, including continuing medical education (CME) on products.

  • Deliver product presentation and conduct customer in-service training.

3. Others

  • Proactively engage within team and offer creative thinking, ideas, and solutions to reach out and engage with customers to deliver business objectives.

  • Cross functional engagement and alignment of strategies and plans with other internal functions including Regulatory Affairs, Legal, Finance, Supply Chain, Medical Affairs, etc.

Key Functions / Responsibilities

1. Organization Development strategy

  • Plan and prepare for new product launching or existing product marketing plan

  • Ensure company’s goal and direction is aligned to your strategy.

2. Leadership Development & Core Leadership Development

  • Sales coaching to subordinate/ mentee and provide constructive feedback for improvements.

  • Developing and growing new talent within the team

3. People and Culture Building

  • Collaboration with other internal and external stakeholders to ensure result

  • Be accountable and have sense of ownership

  • Apply others’ diverse experiences, styles, backgrounds, and perspectives to get results

  • Listen to creative ideas and actively move them onto implementation

  • Show consistency between words and actions

4. Business Partner for Organisation Development Programs

  • Manage sales and support activities and distributors activities

  • Ensure good relationship with business partner and manage expectations at company’s interest

5. Performance Management and Talent Development

  • Manage and ensure deliverable of results

  • Monitor and track self KPI and foresee risk and take action to minimize it

  • Plan and perform daily sales activities

Functional / Technical Skills

  • Able to interact with vast background of people and build relationship with key customers. Must be able to communicate minimally in Bahasa Malaysia and English. Proficiency in other language will be added advantage.

  • Goal orientated and must be able to plan and strategize your action towards goal

  • Continuous prospecting leads and discipline to follow up sales lead.

  • Proactive and tactfully handle customer request.

  • Computer skills (Microsoft office, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)

  • Possesses must have good knowledge in corporate processes, governance, legal and compliance related to MedTech industry.

  • Possesses a growth mindset with relevant skills to contribute to company success.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree or Diploma, preferably majoring in Science related courses

  • Minimum five (5) years in sales and marketing experience in medical device industry

  • Experience in Blood Management or Dialysis Segment would be plus to have

  • Strong interpersonal and network skills

  • Demonstrate creative and innovative solutions in past assignments

  • Possess sound and logical business acumen with a growth mindset

  • Demonstrates constructive mindset

  • Demonstrates accountability in task.
