Senior Services/Solution Architect – Oracle SaaS Applications

The Services/Solution Architect will work closely with CSS Sales teams, Delivery teams, Oracle SaaS specialists, and strategic partners to develop service solutions that help customers implement, optimize, adopt, run, and continuously improve their Oracle Cloud Applications. This role is key to positioning Oracle CSS as the best partner to help customers manage their day-to-day operations, accelerate business outcomes, improve adoption, and maximize return on investment.

You will support the development of the territory pipeline by working alongside Sales teams in customer discovery sessions, executive conversations, assessments, workshops, and opportunity qualification activities. You will identify customer pain points, translate business challenges into services opportunities, and design value-based CSS service solutions aligned with the customer’s priorities, roadmap, maturity, and cloud journey.

As part of the opportunity lifecycle, you will be responsible for discovering, creating, validating, and presenting service solutions and commercial proposals to customers. This includes articulating the CSS value proposition, defining service scope, supporting pricing activities, building implementation or optimization roadmaps, and helping customers understand how Oracle CSS Services can support their SaaS business transformation and operational excellence.

The ideal candidate will bring a strong combination of functional knowledge, business acumen, consultative selling skills, and services architecture experience. This person should be comfortable engaging with business stakeholders, IT leaders, C-level executives, sales teams, delivery organizations, and global Oracle teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as a senior Services Pre-Sales / Solution Architect for Oracle CSS Services and Portfolio, creating service solutions focused on Oracle SaaS Applications.
  • Work with customers to identify business needs, operational pain points, adoption challenges, process inefficiencies, risks, and opportunities to increase the value of their Oracle SaaS investment.
  • Partner with CSS Sales teams to develop and progress the territory pipeline, supporting lead generation, opportunity qualification, value positioning, and deal strategy.
  • Support discovery assessments, customer workshops, solutioning sessions, and executive presentations to understand customer objectives and recommend the most appropriate CSS service approach.
  • Design, validate, and present Oracle CSS Services solutions, including sustain services, optimization services, advisory services, adoption services, release management support, operational governance, managed services, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Translate customer challenges into clear, value-based service proposals, connecting Oracle SaaS capabilities and CSS expertise to measurable business outcomes.
  • Develop and deliver high-quality Oracle CSS presentations, demonstrations, service roadmaps, value propositions, and executive-level narratives.
  • Present and articulate Oracle SaaS and CSS Services benefits, including business value, implementation and optimization roadmap, operational model, future direction, governance approach, and long-term customer success strategy.
  • Support pricing, solution approval, internal governance, and commercial documentation processes, working with local, regional, and global Oracle teams as needed.
  • Collaborate with CSS Delivery teams to ensure proposed solutions are feasible, scalable, profitable, and aligned with delivery capabilities and customer expectations.
  • Act as a technical and functional resource for less experienced Sales Consultants and Pre-Sales professionals, sharing knowledge, best practices, and solutioning guidance.
  • Develop strong professional relationships with customers, becoming a trusted advisor for Oracle CSS Services across the Oracle SaaS lifecycle.
  • Interact with CSS global teams, product specialists, delivery organizations, and local third-party partners to build integrated service solutions and follow internal approval processes.
  • Support business development initiatives related to Oracle SaaS adoption, ERP modernization, cloud optimization, customer success, and services growth.
  • Monitor and contribute to pipeline generation, opportunity progression, campaign execution, and business development KPIs when required.

Required Experience and Skills

  • Strong experience in Oracle Applications: Knowledge of Oracle Cloud ERP, HCM and/or Oracle Cloud CX is highly desirable.
  • Solid understanding of SaaS application lifecycle, including implementation, post-go-live stabilization, adoption, optimization, release management, integrations, reporting, support models, governance, and continuous improvement.
  • Experience in Services Pre-Sales, Solution Architecture, Business Development, Consulting, Delivery, Customer Success, or Application Managed Services.
  • Proven ability to understand customer business processes, identify pain points, and translate them into service solutions with clear business value.
  • Strong consultative selling skills, including needs analysis, value positioning, business justification, objection handling, and executive communication.
  • Ability to design and present complex service solutions in a simple, compelling, and customer-oriented way.
  • Experience working with Sales teams to build pipeline, qualify opportunities, develop account strategies, and support the full sales cycle.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage both technical and business audiences.
  • Ability to operate with minimal supervision in complex, strategic, and ambiguous environments.
  • Strong relationship-building skills and ability to become a trusted advisor to customers and internal stakeholders.
  • Experience working in a vendor, consulting, systems integrator, or enterprise services organization is strongly preferred.
  • Knowledge of Oracle SaaS architecture, application design, integrations, security, data model, reporting, and operational best practices is desirable.
  • Ability to interact with global teams and follow internal processes for solution validation, approvals, pricing, and commercial governance.
  • Ability to travel as needed (25%)
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required; advanced degree desirable.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Oracle Cloud ERP experience is strongly preferred, especially in areas such as Financials, Procurement, Projects, Supply Chain, Enterprise Performance Management, or related business processes.
  • Experience with Oracle Cloud HCM, Oracle Cloud CX, or broader Oracle Fusion Applications is a strong advantage.
  • Oracle SaaS, Oracle Cloud ERP, Oracle Cloud HCM, Oracle Cloud CX, OCI, or related Oracle certifications are desirable.
  • Experience with managed services, application support, SaaS optimization, customer success services, or post-go-live services is highly valued.
  • Experience building service offerings, standardized service packages, commercial documentation, enablement material, and sales playbooks is a plus.
