Senior Sitecore XMC/AI & React Developer

The Planet Group has partnered with a Dallas area company to locate a Sr. Sitecore Developer for a contract role.

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer with expertise in Sitecore XM Cloud and modern front-end development to join a collaborative software engineering team. This role will focus on designing, developing, testing, and supporting scalable web applications and digital experience solutions utilizing Sitecore's headless architecture and modern JavaScript frameworks.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience building enterprise-grade web applications using Sitecore XM Cloud, React, and Next.js, while contributing to both new development initiatives and ongoing platform enhancements.

Please note, the client requires a candidate to be willing to be onsite three days a week in the Dallas office.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, implement, test, and support modern web applications and digital experience solutions.
• Build reusable components, frameworks, and development patterns that improve scalability and maintainability.
• Collaborate with product owners, business stakeholders, designers, and engineering teams to refine requirements and deliver high-quality solutions.
• Participate in application architecture discussions and contribute to technical design decisions.
• Develop and maintain integrations between content management platforms, APIs, and supporting services.
• Perform comprehensive testing and quality assurance activities throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Troubleshoot production issues and provide ongoing application support and enhancements.
• Contribute to CI/CD processes, code reviews, and development best practices.

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience developing web applications using React, Next.js, TypeScript, and JavaScript.
• 2+ years of hands-on experience with Sitecore XM Cloud.
• Strong expertise with modern headless Sitecore architecture and SaaS-based content platforms.
• Experience with Sitecore Headless SXA, JSS, and Experience Edge.
• Experience implementing headless Sitecore solutions using React and Next.js.
• Experience developing search-driven experiences utilizing Sitecore Search, Coveo, or similar search technologies.
• Knowledge of Sitecore Content Hub and content management integrations.
• Experience creating personalized digital experiences using customer data and personalization platforms.
• 3+ years of experience working with Azure cloud services, including:
  • Azure App Services
  • Azure Functions
  • Azure Service Bus
  • Azure API Management (APIM)
  • Azure Notification Hub
• Strong experience developing REST and GraphQL APIs using .NET Core.
• Experience with Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, source control, and automated deployment practices.
• Proficiency with Git, PowerShell, Bash, and modern development tooling.

Preferred Qualifications

• Sitecore XM Cloud certification and/or Sitecore developer certifications.
• Experience with digital experience platforms (DXP) and enterprise content management ecosystems.
• Familiarity with personalization, customer data platforms, and marketing technology integrations.
• Experience working in Agile software development environments.
