Site inspector

Job description:

  • Conduct site inspections at construction projects near sewer lines and manholes.
  • Identify and document the location of manholes, public sewers, and nearby construction activities.
  • Take photographs and measure distances between construction works and sewer corridors when required.
  • Liaise with project managers, engineers, owners, and consultants to obtain relevant documents and drawings.
  • Check for non-compliance, unauthorised activities, and violations of sewer regulations, and report findings immediately.
  • Inspect manholes and sewer chambers for blockages, defects, illegal discharges, or signs of contamination.
  • Identify illegal sewer connections and makeshift toilet facilities.
  • Prepare and submit inspection reports, including checklists, photographs, and observations, within the required timeline.
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company procedures.

Requirements:

  • Minimum Nitec qualification.
  • Possess a valid driving licence and own vehicle for site visits.
  • Prior experience in the construction industry is required.
  • Familiar with construction safety regulations and site operations is an advantage.
