Social Worker-Program Coordinator

This position is for a Social Work Program Coordinator for Primary Care Mental Health Integration (PCMHI). The incumbent organizes and manages the delivery of comprehensive mental and behavioral health services within the Primary Care Mental Health program, overseeing PCMHI Providers at Ann Arbor, Flint, Canton, and Toledo. The Program Coordinator reports to the Outpatient Section Chief, Mental Health Service.

VA Careers - Social Work: https://youtube.com/embed/enRhz_ua_UU Total Rewards of a Allied Health Professional The PCMHI Chief is responsible for the PCMHI Services offered at the Ann Arbor Hospital, Toledo CBOC, Findlay CBOC, Jackson CBOC, Adrian CBOC, Canton CBOC, Howell CBOC, and Flint CBOC. The incumbent is the direct supervisor of the multidisciplinary PCMHI providers. Duties include, but are not limited to: Broad program management responsibilities, which include the operation and management of key clinical, training, or administrative activities. Has direct responsibility for the professional activities of the PCMHI Providers within the MHS. Responsibilities include broad development and active implementation of programs, policies, and procedures; oversight of administrative and programmatic resources. The incumbent provides administrative, clinical, and technical supervision to assigned staff. They are expected to set priorities and make assignments according to capabilities of those assigned. The incumbent evaluates subordinate's performance and offers instruction, advice, or counseling on ancillary services, and administrative matters. They review work to determine acceptable levels of quality and quantity. The incumbent effectively handles disciplinary issues and counsels' employees regarding performance or other situations; takes disciplinary or appropriate action when necessary. The incumbent balances and distributes workload and tasks among employees in accordance with established workflow or job specialization, assuring timely accomplishment of the assigned tasks, and assuring that employees have an integral role in developing the final product. Is responsible for the continuous evaluation of outcome monitors, measurements, and improvements in services offered. Responsible for ensuring staffing coverage of PCMHI across sites. Fulfill ethical responsibilities to Veterans, colleagues and VA in accordance with the Social Work Code of Ethics, VHA Code of Ethics, and local ethical policies, which include but are not limited to compliance with all laws and regulations. Paid Time Off: 37-50 days of annual paid time offer per year (13-26 days of annual leave, 13 days of sick leave, 11 paid Federal holidays per year) Selected applicants may qualify for credit toward annual leave accrual, based on prior [work experience] or military service experience.
