Spa Receptionist-Part Time (Harrah's Ak-Chin Casino)

Responsible for maintaining the reception and retail areas of the Spa while providing a positive and friendly attitude. Assist with scheduling, answering phones, check-in and out of appointments, serving limited F&B items in Lounge while partaking in genuine interactions that provide the highest level of guest service.

  • Offer the highest level of personalized service while maintaining a positive, enthusiastic, helpful, and professional attitude with all guests and team members.

  • Initiate and engage in conversations in a professional and friendly manner.

  • The ability to work in a fast paced and multi-task-oriented environment.

  • Be able to schedule appointments with accuracy and in a timely manner in person and over the phone.

  • Candidate must demonstrate computer knowledge including Word, Microsoft office and outlook.

  • Handles the computer booking system Book4Time and all cash handling procedures with accuracy and ease.

  • Answer phones promptly and friendly.

  • Work well under pressure and handle multiple guests at one time.

  • Knowledge of all spa treatments and retail items with the intent to suggest service offerings to best tailor the client’s needs

  • The ability to suggest, sell, and provide detailed descriptions of spa services and retail items

  • Perform other tasks assigned by Manager.

  • Demonstrate the ability to serve alcoholic beverages in compliance with company policies and procedures.

  • Prepare deli plates and simple small offerings following Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).

  • Provide attentive and courteous guest service in the Desert Serenity Lounge at the Spa, ensuring a welcoming and relaxing environment.

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • Successfully complete Food Handler Certification and Alcohol Awareness Course as required.

  • 1-2 years Reception desk and/or salon/spa experience.

  • Poses the ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining enthusiasm and excellent customer skills.

  • Must be multitask oriented.

  • Must be detail oriented, friendly, outgoing and have excellent communication skills.

  • Must be able to work well with others and as a team.

  • Able to lift up to 20 lbs.
  • Must be able to maneuver in and around the spa.
  • Must be able to operate the following office equipment: computer, photocopier and telephones.
  • Responds to visual and oral cues.
  • Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English.
  • Must be able to work in a close-knit environment with constant co-work involvement.
  • Diverse, fast-paced, deadline driven, multi-project coordination, prioritizing and flexing to accommodate last minute requests and changes.
