STOREROOM/WAREHOUSE CLERK

GENERAL JOB PURPOSE/SUMMARY

The Warehouse Clerk is responsible to ensure the timely and accurate retrieval and binning of parts. The Clerk is also responsible for keeping the Storeroom/Warehouse clean and tidy at all times.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS

  • Timely picking of regular invoice and accurately retrieve merchandise from the bins and deliver to delivery personnel.
  • Timely and proper binning of goods received from the warehouse/shipment.
  • Accurately re-binning of parts.
  • Loading and off-loading merchandise from trucks or container.
  • Pick merchandise for wholesale customers/branch and ensure that the correct quantities and parts are picked.
  • Re-stock and tidy assigned bin area.
  • Sweep storeroom as assigned.
  • Properly prepare boxes for disposal according to protocol.
  • Operate forklift, hand trucks and other warehouse/storeroom equipment as authorized.
  • Assisting with all security functions.
  • Perform any other duties required to ensure the effective flow of operations.


WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Exposure to physical stress.
  • Standing for extended hours.
  • Lifting of heavy loads.
  • Required to work on weekends.
  • Required to work extended hours.
  • Work under Storeroom/Warehouse conditions.


QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • At least three CSEC/CXC Subjects.
  • Certificate in automotive studies (optional but an asset).
  • Two years related experience.
