Supervisory Human Resources Specialist

This position is located with the USDA-Forest Service Albuquerque Service Center, Human Resources Management Staff, Human Resources Reasonable Accommodations office. The incumbent will be responsible for implementing for planning, organizing and leading a positive management-oriented human capital management program for a workforce. Serves as a Supervisory Human Resources Specialist and immediate supervisor for a team of Human Resource Specialists and assistants.

Applies a comprehensive knowledge of human resource management to provide advice and assistance to serviced customers.

The incumbent provides Human Resource (HR) advisory services to Forest Service units that may be sensitive and difficult to resolve.

Provides operational and advisory human resource services that may require identification and analysis of management staffing problems and resolutions.

The incumbent plans, develops, executes, and evaluates any given HR program such as: classification, benefits, pay, worker’s compensation, recruitment, and/or staffing for the Forest Service.

Collaborates with high-level management to develop agency positions, proposals, and strategies on complex HR issues, such as controversial items requiring modification or adaptation of guidelines where no clear precedent exists.

Must be a U.S. Citizen or National. Males born after 12/31/1959 must be Selective Service registered or exempt.
