SUPERVISORY TRAINING SPECIALIST

As an SUPERVISORY TRAINING SPECIALIST, you will direct personnel and serve as expert to management training and development on major mission and/or administrative programs.
Oversee the daily operation of the training team by evaluating and providing feedback to trainers, ensuring quality and timeliness of the delivery of all training and instruction.
Collaborates with HCT personnel in the formulation and development of USCIS training objectives and recommends changes in procedures, guidelines, and instructions to improve effectiveness of training curricula.
Designs, develops, and delivers high-quality training programs, workshops, seminars, and opportunities for employees at all grade levels and uses a wide variety of tools and assessments based on knowledge of, and experience in, their application.
Manages the organization’s training budget, ensuring it is effectively utilized throughout the year for planned and unplanned training needs.

Residency Requirement: There is a residency requirement for all applicants not currently employed by U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services. This residency requirement states that candidates must have, for three of the last five years immediately prior to applying for this position; (1) resided in the United States; OR (2) worked for the United States Government as an employee overseas in a Federal or Military capacity, OR (3) been a dependent of a U.S. Federal or Military employee serving overseas. Supervisory/Managerial Probationary Period: You may be required to serve a twelve-month probationary period upon appointment to this position. You may also be required to complete an appropriate supervisory training course within one year of assignment to this position.
