Technical Operator Assistant

The Technical Operator Assistant will report to the Head of Technical Operations, as part of a TechOps team on rotational shift pattern.

Working closely with Production and Artists to ensure smooth working practices, the TechOp is responsible for QCing and ensuring quality standards for final deliveries for all outgoing deliveries, including Broadcast and Social Media platforms.

This is a fast paced role, working alongside a talented team and provides opportunities for future progression in to related departments.

The role would particularly suit those with a goal of progressing in to our 2D VFX or Colour Grading departments.

As a Technical Operator, you will regularly be required to trouble shoot and problem solve day to day issues that may arise.

Responsibilities:

• Quality control of TV/Social Media campaigns
• Playout deliveries to specification (TV/Social Media)
• Quick turnaround client approval file upload deliveries
• Audio QC
• Data management – (Restores/Archives)
• Jobs Path Clean Up File preparation for 2D Artists
• Artwork preparation
• Logging digital master media content

• A good understanding of UK broadcast specification deliveries
• A basic understanding of all Clearcast guidelines
• A good understanding of file formats and codecs
• A good understanding of aspect ratios and pixel sizes
• Knowledge of transcoding software
• Adobe Suite - Photoshop for artwork preparation
