Trade Finance Officer

Our client is one of the largest commodities in the world, and they are currently seeking a Trade Finance Officer to join their team in Singapore.
Your new role
- Prepare, review, and verify Letter of Credit (LC) documentation, including invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, certificates of origin, insurance certificates, and other shipping documents.
- Ensure all documents comply with UCP 600 guidelines and the terms and conditions of each LC and trade recap.
- Identify, investigate, and resolve document discrepancies prior to submission to minimize delays or rejection by banks.
- Liaise with banks on the submission, negotiation, and processing of Export Letters of Credit.
- Monitor and track LC discrepancies, amendments, acceptance status, and payment progress.
What you'll need to succeed
- 1-3 years of relevant experience in trade finance.
- Strong understanding of LC mechanisms (Letter of Credit, including UCP 600), trade documentation, and the shipment cycle is essential,
- Meticulous attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
