The Opportunity:
Hitachi Energy is having a global Export & Trade Finance organization with a centre of competence in Zurich, dealing with different instruments such as Bank Guarantees, Parent Company Guarantees, Documentary Letters of Credit (LC) and other Short-, Medium- & Long-term financing solutions.
An integral part of the management process is GTK Tool / Trade Finance Link (TFL), a state-of-the-art global trade finance application allowing harmonized handling of bank/parent guarantees and letters of credit, management of bank limits and electronic direct connectivity of HITACHI to its core banks. The HITACHI Group is supported by a back-office function in Krakow, Poland supporting local business organizations in processing and maintaining bank guarantees.
We are looking for a person to become part of Trade Finance Delivery Center (TFDC) team.
TFDC as a part of Global CoE (Center of Expertise) in the Trade area supports service recipients with the expertise knowledge on Trade Finance products, their life cycle and facilitating cooperation and correspondence with banks on them.
How You'll Make an Impact:
- Management of full life cycle of the bank guarantee in centrally implemented tool GTK/ Trade Finance Link (TFL).
- Checking completeness of application form, reviewing wording, clarification of any discrepancies.
- Performing regular review, monitoring and reconciliation of existing portfolio of guarantees.
- Reconcile commission calculation, validate for accounting processing.
- Recording of incoming Export Letters of Credit and communication to the relevant Local Business Unit.
- Monitoring of expiring LC to follow up by the Local Business Unit.
- Preparing statistics over bank performance and guarantee and LC portfolio.
Your Background:
- 3 years’ experience in handling/processing of Bank Guarantees is essential for this role.
- Excellent English skills to communicate with users from different countries and on different organization levels.
- Solid user knowledge of MS office applications – Excel, Power Point, Word.
- Analytical skills, conceptual & process-oriented thinking, business savvy.
- Fast learning and process-oriented thinking.
- Ability to effectively resolve issues and inquiries related to Bank Guarantees in a timely manner.
- Customer oriented.
