Trainer
JOB REQUIREMENT / RESPONSIBILITIES
Role:
The Operations Trainer is responsible for conducting hands-on operational, quality, and skills training for
manufacturing personnel to ensure floor productivity, product quality, safety, and strict compliance with
company procedures.
The role supports workforce competency tracking and continuous operational improvement within the
manufacturing environment. This includes executing specific onboarding and re-certification pathways for
cleanroom/regulated medical manufacturing lines (MedTech) as well as high-precision consumer
technology production lines (Smart Tech, e.g., Dyson).
Responsibilities:
1. Training Execution & Floor Coaching
- Conduct structured orientation, operational and technical for new and existing productionemployees.
- Train and certify operators on detailed work instructions (WI), Standard Operating Procedures(SOPs), quality standards, and safety requirements.
- Deliver specialized training for critical manufacturing disc contamination control, line clearance, and strict documentation compliance (GMP).
- Actively monitor employee performance on the line, providing real-time coaching and remediationto minimize human errors, improve work quality, and boost productivity.
2. Training Administration & Compliance Tracking
Complete, verify, and maintain impeccable training records, skill matrices, and competencydocumentation to remain 100% audit-ready.
- Assist the Quality and Training team during external customer audits (Smart Tech) and regulatory inspections (MedTech, e.g., HSA, ISO 13485) by retrieving training evidence promptly.
- Coordinate cross-training activities to improve workforce flexibility and support productiondepartments in resolving floor skill gaps.
3. Con Assist in developing and updating visual training aids, OJT checklists, work instructions, and operational training procedures.
- valuate training effectiveness through routine floor assessments, practical observations, and
trainee feedback.
- Support company-wide 5S practices, safety regulations, and operational excellence initiatives on the manufacturing floor.
EDUCATION / ACADEMIC QUALIFICATION
- Diploma or equivalent qualification in Manufacturing, Engineering, Operations, or a related technical field. An adult education certificate (such as ACTA or ACLP) is a strong advantage.
KEY REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND ABILITY
- Minimum 3 years of experience in manufacturing, assembly line operations, or technical training
- delivery.
- Familiarity with medical device quality management systems (ISO 13485 / GMP) and cleanroom
- operations is highly preferred.
- Experience with high-precision electronics manufacturing and quality principles (ISO 9001) is highly
- valued.
- Strong floor-level communication, presentation, and hands-on coaching skills.
- Familiar with fast-paced production processes, assembly operations, and reading technical work
- instructions.
- High attention to detail regarding paper-based or digital data entry for compliance records
