Vice President Senior Backend Developer - Lending/Commercial

You will design, develop, and optimize robust, scalable backend systems that power web and mobile applications. You will build and maintain APIs and databases, ensure reliability, security, and high performance, and architect server-side solutions to handle high transaction volumes. You will implement best practices for code quality, testing, and deployment, conduct code reviews, and use automated testing frameworks. You will collaborate with front-end, product, and infrastructure teams to integrate and deliver features, and stay current with emerging technologies in back-end development, blockchain, and fintech to recommend improvements.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain high-performance back-end systems, APIs, and databases
• Architect scalable, secure, and efficient server-side solutions for high transaction volumes
• Collaborate with front-end, product, and DevOps teams to ensure seamless integration and delivery
• Implement best practices for code quality, testing, and deployment, including code reviews and automated testing
• Optimize system reliability, security, and performance
• Stay current with emerging back-end, blockchain, and fintech technologies and recommend improvements

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or related field or equivalent experience
• 7+ years of experience in back-end development with at least 2 years in a senior role
• Hands-on experience with Node
• Experience with Express
• Experience with TypeScript
• Experience with Nest.js or similar frameworks
• Strong experience with SQL
• Exposure to NoSQL
• Experience with microservices
• Experience with event-based architecture
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
• Experience with containerization tools such as Docker and Kubernetes
• Experience with caching and messaging queues such as Kafka
• Experience using Postman
• Experience with Git or Bitbucket
