Job Description
Key Responsibilities
1. Investment Strategy & Market Views
• Contribute to the development of macro and asset class outlooks across equities, fixed income, FX, and alternatives.
• Support the CIO in formulating tactical and strategic macro investment views.
• Take charge of the strategic asset allocation numbers and asset class summary for quarterly investment publications.
• Monitor global macroeconomic developments and identify implications for portfolio positioning.
2. CIO Publications & Thought Leadership
• Produce regular investment commentary including weekly market insights, asset class outlooks, and impromptu market reports.
• With the help of charting software like Macrobond, translate complex macro and market developments into clear and compelling macro narratives for HNW clients.
• Maintain consistency of CIO house views across publications.
3. Client Communication & Sales Enablement
• Develop client-ready investment materials including:
• Market outlooks
• Investment primers
• CIO talking points
• Presentation decks
• Support relationship managers with timely insights and messaging during market volatility.
4. Investment Research
• Conduct macro investment research and highlight interesting themes and trends.
• Collaborate with product specialists to translate these themes into investable ideas.
5. CIO Office Strategy Support
• Assist in preparation of CIO meetings and investment committee discussions.
• Coordinate with regional/global research teams to ensure alignment of house views.
• Support ad-hoc strategic projects within the CIO office.
