Workplace Safety & Health Officer
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement, maintain, and continuously improve the Workplace Safety and Health Management System across assigned school facilities.
- Ensure compliance with the Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) Act, company safety standards, and relevant regulatory requirements.
- Conduct routine safety inspections, audits, and risk assessments of facilities, equipment, and work activities.
- Maintain safety-related documentation, including permits-to-work, risk assessments, incident reports, and compliance records.
- Prepare and submit safety reports, statistics, and regulatory documentation to management and relevant stakeholders.
- Oversee environmental compliance and sustainability initiatives across school facilities.
- Monitor waste management, water conservation, pollution control, and other environmental aspects.
- Ensure compliance with NEA regulations and environmental legislation.
- Coordinate environmental incident response, reporting, and corrective actions.

- Organize and coordinate safety training programs and refresher courses.
- Promote workplace safety awareness through campaigns, communications, and engagement initiatives.
- Develop safety-related materials such as bulletins, posters, and guidelines.
- Develop, implement, and maintain emergency response and evacuation procedures.
- Plan and coordinate emergency drills and exercises.
- Ensure fire safety systems, emergency equipment, and evacuation routes are properly maintained.
