Advance Practice Nurse (Practitioner/Ambulatory)

About the Position: This position is located at Bayne Jones Army Community Hospital in Fort Polk, Louisiana. Salary negotiation may be available for those candidates who are new to Federal service. Non-Federal work experience may be creditable for leave purposes. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation

Provide comprehensive health care for all ages and families in the Medical Treatment Facility.

Obtain health history and conduct a variety of physical examinations of patients.

Provide treatment of minor/acute and chronic conditions through use of a variety of therapeutic modalities.

Perform a variety of procedures as needed, such as skin biopsies, cryotherapy, and toenail removal, based on skill level/scope of practice of clinic.

Manage patient treatment using a variety of therapeutic modalities to include medications, counseling, support services, and other ancillary medical supplies crutches, splits, bandages, and syringes.

Manage chronic health problems in accordance with existing protocol.

Prepare written or computerized, complete, accurate documentation on all patients evaluated in the clinical setting.
