About the Position: This position is located at Bayne Jones Army Community Hospital, Fort Polk, Louisiana. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation Salary negotiation may be available for those candidates who are new to Federal service. Non-Federal work experience may be creditable for leave purposes. We accept applications on an ongoing basis; qualified applicants will be referred to Management as their application packages are received.

Perform a variety of clinical laboratory tests and examinations in the Department of Pathology.

Perform a variety of administrative and record transactions associated with the shipment of specimens to referral laboratories

Ensure that special procedures for collection and shipment of specimens are investigated and coordinated with the referral laboratory.

Monitor the timely processing of special and routine shipment of specimens to ensure the diagnostic needs of all patient care services are met.

Ensure that additional forms required for special tests are completed and accompany the specimen.
