Assistant Contracts Manager

Job Scopes:

  • Support and advise the project team on cost and contractual issues for main contract and subcontracts
  • Liaise with Project Team members to ensure commitments and milestones of subcontracts are achieved and adhered to
  • Analyses all requirements and provisions in contracts, including terms and conditions, to ensure compliance with all laws and regulations and company policies and procedures.
  • Establish and maintain the project variation control system and managing negotiations in line with contract requirements.
  • Preparation of Monthly Progress Claim with details supporting documents to Clients (LTA)
  • Maintaining detailed records of contracts, amendments, and correspondence to ensure transparency and accountability throughout the contract lifecycle
  • Handling any Subcontract related issues that arise during the project lifecycle and negotiating fair settlements when disputes occur.
  • Review evaluation of variation order request, variation orders, defending claims and providing contractual advice to site team
  • Preparation of VO submissions & closeout all documents for Final Accounts upstream and downstream, including warranties

Requirements (Qualification & Experience):

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Quantity Surveyor, Construction Management, Civil Engineering or equivalent
  • Min 10 years of experience with main contractor, preferably in MRT Projects
  • Sound Knowledge in Contract Negotiation and Administration
  • Strong organization skills including attention to detail and methodical approach to work
  • Possesses analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Dependability with a strong sense of urgency and result oriented
  • Ability to work with tight deadlines
  • Willing to work in the East
