Assistant Cook
Roles:
- Assist the chef and kitchen staff in preparing food.
- Support daily kitchen operations to ensure smooth food preparation and service.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in the kitchen.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare ingredients such as washing, peeling, cutting, and measuring food items.
- Assist in cooking and plating dishes according to recipes and instructions from the chef.
- Ensure food is stored properly and safely following food safety regulations.
- Clean kitchen equipment, utensils, workstations, and food preparation areas.
- Help receive, inspect, and store deliveries of food and kitchen supplies.
- Monitor stock levels and inform the chef or supervisor when supplies are running low.
- Dispose of waste appropriately and maintain a clean kitchen environment.
- Follow all workplace safety, hygiene, and sanitation procedures.
- Assist with packing and serving food when required.
- Perform other kitchen-related duties assigned by the chef or kitchen supervisor.
