Business Development Manager

What You Can Expect:

  • Generate new business opportunities and achieve revenue and gross profit (GP) targets in line with the country sales budget.
  • Conduct face-to-face meetings with B & C customers, present tailored logistics solutions, and close deals.
  • Deliver a high win rate on new business awards while maintaining strong GP margins.
  • Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with clients to ensure customer retention and account growth.
  • Engage with decision-makers to understand business challenges and develop logistics solutions aligned with their strategy.
  • Collaborate with Product Teams, Sales Channels, and Station Management to maximize customer value.
  • Lead and manage regional and global tenders, acting as account owner in coordination with regional tender teams.
  • Work with Country and Product Management to define competitive and profitable pricing strategies.
  • Record all sales activities and client details accurately in the MS Dynamics CRM system.
  • Identify and mitigate risks while securing business opportunities in the best interest of Rhenus A&O.
  • Act as lead negotiator in client presentations and ensure successful deal closure.
  • Coach and support junior team members to foster professional growth.
  • Participate in training programs provided by Rhenus A&O to continuously enhance knowledge and skills.

What You Bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of field sales experience in freight forwarding, preferably with Air & Ocean expertise.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to evaluate information and develop practical solutions.
  • Proven track record in achieving or exceeding sales and revenue targets.
  • Strong client focus, with excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Entrepreneurial and strategic mindset with the ability to think creatively.
  • High level of integrity, professionalism, and work ethic.
  • Willingness to travel within Korea and internationally as required.
  • Fluency in written and spoken English; Korean language skills are highly preferred.
