Summary of the Role
The Business Unit Manager – CV/TA is responsible for the overall strategic, commercial, and operational performance of the Cardiovascular / Therapeutic Area business in Indonesia. This role owns full P&L accountability, defines and executes country business strategy, leads cross‑functional commercial teams, and ensures alignment with Terumo regional and global objectives while upholding Terumo’s mission of contributing to society through healthcare.
Key Functions / Responsibilities
1. Business Strategy & Financial Management
Develop and execute the country business strategy for the CV/TA portfolio in alignment with regional and global direction
Own full P&L responsibility, including revenue growth, margin management, and operating expense control
Lead annual operating planning, budgeting, forecasting, and multi‑year growth initiatives
Identify and drive new growth opportunities through portfolio optimization and market development
2. Commercial Leadership
Define and implement sales, marketing, and pricing strategies to achieve sustainable growth
Ensure strong understanding of market dynamics, competition, customer needs, and reimbursement environment
Lead key customer engagement including major accounts, distributors, and key opinion leaders
Oversee go‑to‑market execution, product launches, and commercial excellence initiatives
3. People Leadership
Lead, develop, and inspire the CV/TA commercial organization through clear goals, performance management, and coaching
Build leadership capability, succession plans, and a strong talent pipeline
Foster a high‑performance culture aligned with Terumo values of Respect, Ownership, and Continuous Improvement
4. Cross‑Functional & Regional Collaboration
Partner closely with Medical Affairs, Finance, Supply Chain, Regulatory, and Quality to ensure compliant and efficient operations
Act as primary interface with Terumo regional and global business unit teams
Contribute to regional projects, best‑practice sharing, and transformation initiatives
5. Governance & Compliance
Ensure compliance with Terumo Group policies, local regulations, ethical standards, and quality systems
Deliver accurate and timely business performance reporting and management reviews
Manage business risks and support audit and governance requirements
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Life Sciences, Medical, Pharmacy, Engineering, or related discipline
Master’s degree (MBA or equivalent) preferred
Minimum 8–12 years of experience in medical devices or healthcare industry
Proven experience in commercial or business leadership roles with some P&L responsibility
Strong background in sales and marketing leadership within a matrix organization
Experience working with regional and global stakeholders preferred
Strategic business planning and execution
Strong financial and commercial acumen (P&L, budgeting, forecasting)
Market analysis and competitive intelligence
People leadership, coaching, and talent development
Stakeholder management and executive communication
Change leadership and continuous improvement mindset
