Summary of the Role

This position is responsible for providing technical expertise pertaining to clinical practice trends, medical advances, and academic outcomes pertaining to marketed products of Terumo Businesses to the Sales and Marketing team. The position supports the team and customers in enhanced scientific understanding of products marketed in TAP and of issues that affect patient care through trainings.

Key Functions / Responsibilities

1. Main Duties

  • Provide technical support for Marketing and Sales

  • Provide technical inputs to marketing team of BU

  • Provide technical inputs for development of marketing collaterals like product brochures, presentations, user manuals, etc.

  • Review the content of all marketing and promotional activities for all business, to ensure accurate representation of clinical outcomes and clinical research results, and alignment to regulatory requirements

  • Collaborate with the Sales team for planning and execution of Continued Medical Education programs, trainings and other events / seminars

  • Develop / review content and agenda for Continued Medical Education (CME) programs and trainings, etc.

  • Provide recommendations for Advisory Board participants and act as a facilitator for Advisory Board meetings, as required

  • Assist key customers in the creation, maintenance, expansion and start-up of Product-related Educational Courses and Forums

  • Prepare and publish white papers, case studies and other intellectual products on effectiveness of our products and related clinical evidence

2. Training of Sales Team and Distributors’ Employees

  • Develop comprehensive training modules for sales teams, covering the product technicalities, usage, clinical outcomes, etc.

  • Provide regular training to the sales associates and distributors, in order to build their capability and enhance their knowledge of products, their usage, clinical outcomes, etc.

3. Real World Evidence

  • Recommend cases and sites for clinical studies that are or can be designed by TAP

  • Generate real world evidence on products that are launched in country and in supporting local cost reimbursement

4. Market Access

  • Ensure that all new launches have market access strategy built in to the launch program

  • Propose local cost-effective studies or budget impact models along with local partners and prepare dossier for submission

Functional / Technical Skills

  • Subject matter expertise on cardiology, oncology and preferably medical devices

  • Clinical consultation skills

  • Outstanding social skills

  • Knowledge of concept/product positioning

  • Training and facilitation skills

  • Industry knowledge

  • Have publications in her/his name and experience in conducting real world studies

Education & Experience

  • Medical doctor preferred or Master of Pharmacy or Master of Public health

  • Approx. 8 - 10 years of experience in healthcare industry, as medical advisor
