Data Analyst – Procurement/Inventory

Nokia is looking for detailed oriented Procurement Inventory Manager to manage supply and inventory with contract manufacturers. The successful candidate will own the end-to-end process for excess and obsolete(E&O) inventory validation, monitoring, and mitigation as well as manage buy/sell component transactions. Candidate must have advanced SAP proficiency to process purchase requisitions, place Purchase Orders(PO)s, ensure stock accuracy, and complete component buy/sell transactions. The ideal candidate will have experience in a complex manufacturing environment such as Fabrinet, Jabil, Sanmina, Foxconn or Flextronics. This role will be located either in Thailand or Malaysia close to our CM locations.

  • Inventory management: work with CMs to set component safety stock buffers; mitigate excess inventory with 3rd party brokers
  • Excess & Obsolete (E&O) Management: Track, validate CM E&O claims, monitor trends and process related PR/POs
  • Requisition to order: Gather necessary approvals, generate purchase requisitions and convert them into purchase orders(POs) in SAP system
  • Supplier management: Build and maintain close relationships with contract manufacturer teams. Understand demand changes and impact on CM inventory. Review CM submitted inventory related charges and Purchase Price Variance(PPV).
  • Cross functional Collaborations: Partner with finance, planning, procurement, logistics, quality and engineering teams to resolve any issues impacting supply, invoice and inventory

You have:

  • Experience: 5 years of experience in procurement or inventory management within high tech, optical manufacturing, semiconductor or electronics device industries
  • Must have at least 2-3 year of strong experience on both ends of PowerBI: query editing plus ETL and data modeling (DAX) plus visualizations as well as experience with PowerAutomate, DAX studio, Tabular editor, Dataflow, PowerApps, Paginated Reports, Azure, Sharepoint
  • Proven analytical capabilities, and using data to provide insights and solutions
  • Ideal candidate will take pride in his/her own work and output, meticulous in ensuring data accuracy and integrity
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree or higher in supply chain management, business or related technical fields
  • Skills:
    • Proficiency in SAP system
    • Analytical skills: strong ability to analyse demand volatility, inventory trends and financial cost drivers like PPV (purchase price variance), Expert Excel users and must have Microsoft PBI dashboard building capability
    • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills for managing supplier relationships and collaborate across multiple internal teams
    • Ability to work with culturally diverse and geographically distributed teams in different time zones
    • Enjoys problem solving and process improvements

It would be nice if you also had:

  • Understanding or experience of optical equipment assembly and manufacturing a plus
  • Preferably bilingual in English and Thai
