Diagnostic Radiologic Technician

About the Position: This position is located at Womack Army Medical Center, Fort Bragg, NC. This position requires rotational shift work to include holidays, weekends and on call as needed. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation

Perform a variety of complex and difficult radiographic examinations.

Review requests from physicians and other healthcare providers for examinations.

Explain procedures to patient and/or family.

Administer oral and intravenous contrast material in accordance with universal precautions.

Position equipment and patient for optimal imaging.

Ensure supplies are in adequate stock for the department.

Provide assistance with on-the -job-training of new employees and student personnel.

Develop and process radiographs.

Perform daily preventative maintenance procedures on the radiographic/ fluoroscopic imaging equipment and report malfunctioning timely.

Enter data regarding patient history/ radiographic procedures into service data \bvase.
