Performs highly specialized diagnostic procedures utilizing advanced magnetic resonance imaging techniques in a medical treatment facility.
Trains subordinates in performing magnetic resonance imaging procedures.
Independently conduct complex 3D and 2D magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) scans of the head, spine, extremities, and body, ensuring precise image acquisition for diagnostic purposes.
Receive and instruct patients by explaining procedures methods, safety precautions, and risks, position them accurately, start intravenous lines (IV) as needed, and produce required images for examinations.
Identify and correct image artifacts to enhance quality, collaborate with radiologists to tailor imaging protocols for both standard and complex cases, and promptly notify physicians of significant findings during exams.
Notifies the radiologist or physician of significant scans requiring immediate attention and visualization while patient is undergoing examination.
Administers emergency medicinal injections under the direction of the physician in charge.
Responsible for all major and minor equipment held in the magnetic resonance imaging Section.
