Education Officer (1-Year Contract)

We are looking for a proactive and organised Education Officer to support the planning and execution of educational programmes within a museum and heritage environment. This role involves coordinating school visits, managing programme logistics, handling stakeholder communications, and supporting content development for public education initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Educational Programme Support

  • Coordinate and manage school visit bookings through online booking portals, emails, and phone enquiries

  • Liaise with schools, teachers, vendors, and internal stakeholders regarding programme arrangements

  • Welcome and brief large student groups during museum visits

  • Assist with crowd management and ensure smooth programme operations during peak periods

  • Prepare and coordinate programme logistics, learning materials, and operational requirements

  • Monitor, stock-take, and procure programme resources where required

  • Maintain and update programme SOPs and operational guidelines

  • Collate programme statistics, attendance records, and monthly KPI reports

Workshops, Programmes & Content Support

  • Coordinate logistics and equipment for educational workshops and programmes

  • Support the execution of both onsite and virtual programmes

  • Assist in research and content development for educational and public engagement initiatives

  • Handle dissemination of marketing and educational materials such as brochures, newsletters, and resource kits

  • Assist in maintaining educational and interpretive spaces

  • Support ad-hoc duties and projects assigned by supervisors

Requirements

  • Diploma or Degree in Arts Management, Education, History, Humanities, Museum Studies, or related fields preferred

  • Candidates with relevant administrative, coordination, customer service, or programme support experience are welcome to apply

  • Comfortable managing and addressing large student groups

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Good email writing and stakeholder coordination abilities

  • Organised, detail-oriented, and able to multitask effectively

  • Able to adapt well in a fast-paced and dynamic environment

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel, Outlook, and Microsoft Teams

  • Experience using booking systems or online portals will be advantageous

Additional Information

  • 1-year contract

  • May be required to support programmes on selected weekends when needed
