Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Senior Technical Developer – Oracle to design, develop, and support enterprise-grade Oracle applications and integrations. The role requires deep expertise in Oracle technologies, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work across functional and technical teams in complex transformation programs.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Design & Development
- Design, develop, and implement technical solutions within Oracle EBS environments.
- Have technical knowledge in modules like HRMS, Project Costing, Project Billing, Financials, SCM
- Build and customize:
- Reports (BI Publisher, OTBI, XML Publisher)
- Interfaces and integrations (using REST/SOAP APIs, Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC), SOA)
- Extensions (PL/SQL, Oracle Forms, Reports,APEX, Java, Unix)
- Conversions and data migration programs
- Develop scalable and high-performance solutions following Oracle best practices.
Integration & Middleware
- Design and implement integrations between Oracle applications and third-party systems (e.g., Salesforce, banks, external ERPs).
- Utilize tools such as:
- Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC)
- SOA Suite / REST APIs
- Middleware technologies for real-time and batch processing
- Ensure secure, reliable, and fault-tolerant integrations.
Technical Architecture & Solutioning
- Collaborate with Solution Architects to define technical architecture and integration frameworks.
- Provide inputs on:
- Data models
System scalability
Performance optimization - Translate functional requirements into technical design documents (TDDs).
- Data models
Database & Performance Optimization
- Develop and optimize SQL/PLSQL queries, procedures, triggers, and packages.
- Conduct performance tuning, query optimization, and indexing strategies.
- Ensure data integrity and efficient database design.
Support & Delivery
- Lead and support:
- Unit Testing
- System Integration Testing (SIT)
- User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
- Production deployments
- Troubleshoot production issues and provide timely resolutions.
- Manage code migration across environments.
Code Quality & Best Practices
- Adhere to coding standards, version control, and documentation practices.
- Conduct peer reviews and enforce development standards.
- Ensure compliance with security, audit, and governance requirements.
Collaboration & Leadership
- Mentor junior developers and provide technical guidance.
- Work closely with:
- Functional consultants
- Business stakeholders
- Project managers
- Participate in Agile ceremonies (Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Retrospectives).
Required Skills & Qualifications
Technical Skills
Strong experience in:
Oracle E-Business Suite (R12)
SQL & PL/SQL (advanced level)
BI Publisher, Oracle Forms and Reports, Unix
Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC) / SOA Suite
Technical development in modules like HRMS, Project Costing, Project Billing, Financials, SCM
Expertise in:
Web services (REST/SOAP)
Data migration and interface design
Experience with tools like:
Oracle APEX / Oracle Forms
Java (preferred but optional)
Functional Exposure (Preferred)
Exposure to Oracle modules:
Financials (GL, AP, AR, FA)
Supply Chain (PO, INV, OM)
Manufacturing / Procurement
Soft Skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-project environment
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Experience Requirements
8–15 years of experience in Oracle technical development
Proven experience in end-to-end Oracle implementation / upgrade / support projects
Hands-on expertise in integration-heavy environments
