Job Summary
Support procurement and system implementation activities by processing purchase requests, assisting users, and providing first-level IT support during system rollouts.
Responsibilities
- Check purchase requests for compliance with regulations and internal processes to ensure accuracy and adherence
- Collaborate with users to resolve issues and rectify purchase requests promptly
- Process purchase requests and raise purchase orders (POs) efficiently to support procurement operations
- Assist internal teams with procurement activities and respond to related queries to maintain smooth workflows
- Schedule pilot users for system testing and coordinate testing activities to gather user feedback
- Track and manage feedback returns from pilot users to support system improvements
- Provide first-level user support during system implementation to address user concerns and facilitate adoption
- Liaise with the technical helpdesk to escalate and resolve technical issues effectively
- Create electronic direct mails (EDMs) to communicate updates and information to stakeholders
- Follow up proactively on outstanding issues to ensure timely resolution
- Manage time effectively and take instructions to meet deadlines and support team objectives
- Assume ad-hoc assignments as needed to support team and project requirements
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- 1-2 years of experience in a purchasing role to understand procurement processes
- Experience providing administrative support for IT systems to assist with system implementation
- Familiarity with GeBIZ platform is an advantage for procurement-related tasks
- Proficient in IT and motivated in navigating systems
- Strong ability to manage time and take instructions
- Willingness to assume ad-hoc assignments as needed
- Pro-active to follow up on issues
Contract Duration: 8 months
Salary: $2580/month
Mondays to Fridays office hours
