HEAD BAKER

Responsibilities

  • Lead daily production of bagels and bakery items to meet quality and volume targets
  • Prepare dough by mixing, fermenting, shaping, boiling, baking, and finishing products according to established recipes and standards
  • Maintain consistent product quality, appearance, and taste through regular monitoring and adjustments
  • Manage daily production schedules and maintain par levels to ensure timely output and inventory control
  • Monitor ingredient inventory levels and communicate ordering needs to maintain uninterrupted production
  • Train and supervise bakery assistants and kitchen staff to uphold production standards and efficiency
  • Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and workplace cleanliness standards at all times
  • Implement waste reduction strategies and improve production efficiency through process evaluation
  • Assist in refining recipes and developing new products to enhance the bakery’s offerings
  • Support preparation and facilitation of workshops and bakery demonstrations as needed
