Job Description
We are looking for a skilled and passionate Indian Cuisine Chef specializing in traditional South/North Indian dishes, prata making, and biryani to join our culinary team. If you have a deep understanding of authentic flavors and thrive in a fast-paced kitchen environment, we want you!
Key Responsibilities
Prata Master: Experience with flipping and cooking a variety of pratas (e.g., plain, egg, plaster, coin prata) ensuring authentic texture and taste.
Biryani & Rice Dishes: Masterfully prepare, spice, and cook large batches of authentic Biryani (Chicken, Mutton, Fish, Vegetable) alongside daily standard rice dishes.
Goreng-Goreng Station: Handle the wok/fryer station efficiently to prepare local favorites like Mee Goreng, Nasi Goreng, Maggi Goreng, etc.
Food Preparation & Cooking: Prepare authentic Indian curries, gravies, side dishes, and tandoori items (if applicable).
Kitchen Operations: Manage daily food preparation (mise en place), monitor ingredient stock levels, and minimize wastage.
Hygiene & Safety: Maintain the highest standards of cleanliness, food hygiene, and safety regulations in accordance with SFA guidelines.
Job Requirements
Experience: Preferably 2–3 years of hands-on experience as an Indian Cuisine Cook, specifically handling prata section.
Certifications: Possess a valid Food Safety Course Level 1 certificate.
Attributes: Strong teamwork, ability to work in a hot and fast-paced environment, and a passion for authentic Indian flavors.
