Job Description:

As an Internet Travel Consultant at Rakuten Travel, the incumbent is responsible for growing inbound travel demand by optimizing hotel partners’ online sales performance, developing targeted accommodation strategies, and strengthening long-term partnerships through data-driven and consultative engagement.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage inbound travel initiatives from Japan by supporting hotel partnerships and promoting properties to the Japanese market
  • Conduct performance analysis and provide insights for partners (primarily hotel partners)
  • Advise partners to drive mutually beneficial (“win-win”) outcomes and improve online sales performance
  • Develop and curate accommodation packages and promotional plans
  • Support the creation and execution of customized online pages and campaigns
  • Drive business development efforts to increase advertising revenue from partners
  • Provide customer service and operational support to local partners
  • Handle additional ad hoc tasks as required

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in the hospitality industry or a related field
  • Experience working in a dynamic, fast-paced, and multicultural environment, with a proven track record of delivering strong results
  • Demonstrated self-motivation, resilience, and consistent performance in the travel or related industry
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and proactively drive partnership opportunities
  • Strong attention to detail, with the ability to think strategically and assess long-term business potential
  • Solid business acumen with experience in sales or revenue-driven roles
  • Customer-focused mindset with experience in client or customer service
