We are looking for a Senior Apigee / API Integration Specialist to join our Application Integration team at Tetra Pak. In this role, you will design, build, and manage secure, scalable API solutions using Google Apigee, supporting enterprise integration and digital transformation initiatives. You will work closely with global stakeholders and technical teams to deliver high‑quality API platforms that enable business agility and innovation.

What you will do

  • Design and implement API proxies, shared flows, and policies using Google Apigee.
  • Define and maintain API architecture, contracts, and standards (OpenAPI/Swagger)
  • Build and integrate APIs with backend systems including REST, SOAP, microservices, and legacy platforms.
  • Implement API security (OAuth2, JWT, mTLS, access control, threat protection)
  • Enable CI/CD automation for API deployments and releases.
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize API performance and traffic using Apigee analytics.
  • Collaborate with architects, product owners, and cross‑functional teams to translate business needs into technical solutions.
  • Mentor junior team members and contribute to API governance and best practices.

We believe you have

  • 15+ years of IT experience, with 10+ years in Apigee API Management.
  • Strong expertise in at least for Apigee Edge, API Gateway concepts, and policy development.
  • Strong knowledge of OAuth2, JWT, SAML, mTLS, and other API security protocols.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Git, Jenkins, Azure DevOps,or similar tools.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Experience with another API Gateway, or other API platforms.
  • Use Apigee analytics to generate insights and recommend improvements.
  • Should be proficient in JavaScript, Node.js, Java, Python, or similar languages used for API development.
